How to delete your BrideMirror account and what happens to your data
How to Delete Your Account
You can delete your BrideMirror account directly from the mobile app:
- Open the BrideMirror app
- Go to Settings (gear icon)
- Tap Account Management
- Scroll down to the "Danger Zone" section
- Tap Delete Account
- Confirm your decision
⚠️ Important: Account deletion is permanent after 30 days. Make sure you want to proceed before confirming.
30-Day Grace Period
When you delete your account:
- Your account is immediately deactivated
- You have 30 days to change your mind
- To restore your account, simply sign in again within 30 days
- After 30 days, your account and all data are permanently deleted
ℹ️ Recovery: If you sign in within 30 days, your account will be fully restored with all your data intact.
What Gets Deleted
When your account is permanently deleted after 30 days, the following data is removed:
- Your account information (name, email, profile photo)
- All photos you uploaded
- All AI-generated try-on results
- Your credit balance and transaction history
- Voting sessions you created
- All personal preferences and settings
What Happens to Subscriptions
- Active VIP subscriptions are cancelled immediately
- No refunds are provided for unused subscription time
- You must cancel subscriptions through App Store/Google Play separately
Data Retention
We may retain certain data for legal or operational purposes:
- Payment transaction records (required by law for 7 years)
- Anonymized usage statistics
- Data required for fraud prevention
This retained data cannot be linked back to you and does not include photos or personal information.
Alternative: Temporary Deactivation
If you're not sure about permanent deletion, you can:
- Simply stop using the app (your data remains for 30 days after last photo upload)
- Delete individual photos from your history
- Contact support for temporary account suspension

Data Export
Before deleting your account, you can request a copy of your data:
- Go to Settings → Account Management
- Tap Export My Data
- You'll receive a download link via email within 48 hours
